The ACT is a standardized test for college admissions in America and other countries. The test has four components such as Writing, Reading, Math and Science section. Reading and Writing represent the core part of English scored separately for 1-36. Similarly, Math and Science sections are scored independently for the 1-36. The overall score range of the test is 1-36.

Who takes the test ?
ACT is administered by ACT Inc since 1959. Any student enrolled in a senior school can the take the ACT test. Exam Structure

The ACT uses scaled test scores. The four main sections (English, Mathematics, Reading, & Science) are scored individually. The Raw Scores (total number of correct answers in each section) are converted into scaled scores (1- 36) for each section. The ACT composite score (1-36) is the average of all four scaled scores. There is no penalty for wrong answers. The scores of the Writing Section (essay) are reported separately and do not affect the overall ACT composite score.
